Let’s Golf: The pleasure to be able to play a golf game with such good quality on iPhone.

I always had a weakness for golf games. I can’t stop playing them. I’ve scored more than 2000 on Wii Golf after playing 5 nights with my Brazilian friend. I was so excited when this game was launched. Especially because it was from Gameloft, the best company for iPhone games.

The basic system is like a golf game you play on any platform. There’s also an “advance mode” where you can play by sliding your finger on the screen.

Let’s Golf iPhone Gameplay

So- let’s Golf.
Here it comes, Gameloft.

After playing the video as you always do, enter the user name and Let’s Golf!

Choose your character. They all have different skills and abilities.
Since it’s our first time to play, I’ll choose Chris, the one who’s got a good profile for beginners.

Play ball.
We’re playing at the Rose Country Golf Club in England.

You can change the direction of the ball by tapping on the left and right side of the screen and pause the game by tapping AppBank(your name) and the name on the upper-left side.

Under that you can see the wind speed and direction. Tap on where it says 1W and slide your finger to choose your golf club.

On the upper right hand, you can see the distance to the pin is 331y.
You can move to the view that shows where the ball lands by tapping the mini-map.

Tap on the yellow circle on the lower right hand side to make a shot.

Here’s the view from the landing point.

Put your finger on the upper part of the screen and the landing point will change according to that direction.

Zoom in and out by using “-“ “+”.

It feels good to be able to operate things with just a touch.

Make a shot by tapping the yellow circle on the lower right hand. I’m tapping twice. You can decide the strength you want to put into the ball by tapping the first tap from 0 – 100%.

Tap again on the blue and green zone on the lower right hand of the meter.

The blue and green zones show the accuracy for hitting the ball. The green zone right in the middle gives the strongest strength to the ball.

You can now see there’s a blue arrow under the green zone. This means you can make a nice shot!

If you succeed, your player will make a yellow swing. Chris’s swing movement is quite good.

Go go go go!!!
Don’t you think the golf course looks nice?
It makes me want to play real golf again.

After the shot, touch the ball on the lower left hand to the direction you’d like and the ball will spin on to that way!
This is a backspin. You should do this when you don’t want it to be a run.

Fairway!
Great!

Now putting it on the green..

..and putt.

You only need to tap once but adjust the strength you want by checking the red pin sign.

Let’s try it in one putt.

Our next course is located in the U.S., at the Mountain Side Golf Club.
It’s a really high place as if we are above the clouds.

GIR!

You can change the view point by tapping the mini-map while putting.

You can see small white dots on the grid. Try to guess in which direction the ball would go.

There are colors on the grid. Red is the higher point and blue is the lower point.

Here’s another birdie! Yeahhh!!

Ok then, let’s just play.

The weather here is really great. Isn’t it nice to be in Fiji?

It looks like my recovery shot after failing GIR went pretty good after all.

Par putting..

This was great fun.

This is my score.
So, these were the basic rules of playing. You just have to know the golf courses better and practice!

It seems like you can slide your finger to operate all movements.

Let’s look at the options. I want to see what it says on “how to play”

What’s this advance mode?

Is this a power gage?

It seems like you can slide your finger to operate all movements.

When you start to swing your club, the power gage on the upper right side will go up.
Then, just slide your finger to the arrow and make a shot.

The same way is for putting. Place your finger on to the yellow circle.

When you put your finger on the lower part the player starts to swing the club and the power meter will go up.
Then slide your finger to the upper screen.

I have to say I don’t really get how to control the after shots.
Making the shot was ok.

On the tournament mode, characters and stages will gradually start to appear.

Try to gain points to go on.

I’m guessing this putt is better off going just straight.

I’m on second place now.

Damn, I was too confident and now I got a double bogey.

I’ll try and make a tee shot in this direction.
Don’t forget to keep an eye on the wind!

You get to change the details of your player’s clothes and the ball after going on to a higher stage.
You get to this screen when you touch the player on the player selection screen

I never thought that my putting skills could get better with blond hair!

What a great sky color.
Ahh, this is really making me want to play golf again. Maybe I’ll start playing next year…

I also like to play against other players offline on the match mode.

I think golf is a game where it’s fun to communicate with others, so this system where you can play by exchanging iPhones and play with others is really great.

I think this will be THE golf game for iPhone.
